The ORPHANED, AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN services that are currently rendered include: food parcel distribution, parent/carer and children support groups, ARV and TB treatment adherence and support, health evaluations and grief counseling done at the homes. And the number of identified children is increasing every day. Areas benefiting from the project include Asla Park, KwaNonquaba and Joe Slovo and surrounding informal settlements.
Children on ARV and TB treatments are motivated and assisted to adhere to treatment. Families with deceased members are offered grief counselling. Each month 293 children of 65 families receive an array of services including home visits, health checks, food parcels and counseling etc. The number of identified children is increasing every day.
